One or more of any of the following acts :
                                                                        

        a) Any conduct by any student or students whether by words spoken or written or by an act which has the effect of teasing, treating or handling with rudeness a fresher or any other student.
                                                                                                                                                                                                             
        b) Indulging in rowdy or undisciplined activities by any student or students which causes or is likely to cause annoyance, hardship, physical or psychological harm or to raise fear or apprehension thereof in any fresher or any other student.
                                                                   
        c) Asking any student(s) to do any act which such student will not in the ordinary course do and which has the effect of causing or generating a sense of shame, or torment or embarrassment so as to adversely affect the physique or psyche of such fresher or any other student.

        d) Any act by a senior student that prevents, disrupts or disturbs the regular academic activity of any other student or a fresher.
                                                                   
        e) Exploiting the services of a fresher or any other student for completing the academic tasks assigned to an individual or a group of students.
                                                                   
        f) Any act of financial extortion or forceful expenditure burden put on a fresher or any other student by students                                                        
       
        g) Any act of physical abuse including all variants of it: sexual abuse, homosexual assaults, stripping, forcing obscene and lewd acts, gestures, causing bodily harm or any other danger to health or person;                                                                

        h) Any act or abuse by spoken words, emails, post, public insults which would also include deriving perverted pleasure, vicarious or sadistic thrill from actively or passively participating in the discomfiture to fresher or any other student.

              d   Extortion - Criminal trespass                                                               

             d   Offences against property

              d   Criminal intimidation                                                              

              d   Physical or psychological humiliation

              d   Any act / abuse by spoken words, e-mails, snail mails, blogs, public insults etc.

              d   Any act that prevents, disrupts or disturbs the regular academic activity of a student

              d   All other offences following from the definition of "Ragging".                             

              d   Wrongful restraint

              d   Wrongful confinement

             d   Use of criminal force                                                                

             d   Assault as well as sexual offences or unnatural offences
                                                           
              d   Extortion - Criminal trespass                                                               

             d   Offences against property

              d   Criminal intimidation                                                              

              d   Physical or psychological humiliation

              d   Any act / abuse by spoken words, e-mails, snail mails, blogs, public insults etc.

 
               i   Cancellation of admission

               i   Suspension from attending classes

              i   Withholding/ withdrawing scholarship/ fellowship and other benefits                                                               

              i   Debarring from appearing in any test/ examination or other evaluation process
                                                           
               i   Withholding results                                                               

              i   Debarring from representing the institution in any regional, national or international meet, tournament, youth festival etc

               i   Suspension/ expulsion from the hostel                                                             

               i   Rustication from the institution for a period ranging from 1 to 4 semesters

               i   Expulsion from the institution and consequent debarring from admission to any other institution

              p   Regular visit to the hostel to solve the day to day problems of the students.

               p   To frame policy on the running of the hostels, messes, canteen and other facilities within the hostel.

              p   Chief Warden to make surprise raids on hostels.                                                               

              p   To ensure that no ragging takes place in the hostels and maintain a ragging free Hostels.
                                                           
               p   To ensure maintenance of Discipline in and around the Hostel                                                              

              p   Chief Warden assigned to students to make surprise visits and to maintain a diary of his/her interaction with the freshers.

               p   Freshers to be lodged, as far as may be, in a separate hostel block                                                            

               p   Hostel warden to be conducted meeting amongst the freshers during the first three months.
